I have 18 years of experience as a wrestler, and coach. I coach to help young athletes develop character, to steer them towards becoming better people.  My greatest joy is witnessing young wrestlers gain confidence in themselves and become someone they weren't when they entered the sport.  In 2017 I received my masters of science in occupational therapy and have worked as an OT at United Hospital since.   

I have been involved in wrestling for 30 plus years. Started wrestling at age 5. Born and raised in K ansas City, KS. Helped coach an individual State Champion in 2016. Moved to Minnesota in 2021. Currently a Warehouse Supervisor for Wayfair in New Brighton. What I love most about wrestling is the self-discipline and mental toughness it requires. You have to be both physically and emotionally strong. At the end of the day you are responsible for how you respond to any type of adversity in wrestling and life. It is awesome to see these attributes student athletes gain from wrestling translate to their personal and professional lives outside of wrestling. 

I wrestled for Owatonna for 11 years from Kindergarten through 10th grade. I've coached wrestling at Roseville for 3 years in addition to track and field for 4 years and football for 8 years. I love coaching for the ability to connect with young adults who are driven to accomplish their goals. It's an honor to see and be a part of the accomplishments that young people attain after hours of work. I am an insanely competitive person and watching others embrace that competitive spirit lights a fire inside me.  Wrestling and coaching wrestling is so different than all of the other sports. No other sport is so physically and mentally demanding, and nothing else can prepare you for stepping out onto the mat, under the lights, with everyone's eyes on just you and your opponent. No sport will test your discipline more, but no other sport will give you such more discipline than wrestling.  I've been a math teacher for 12 years overall but I've been in Roseville for the last 9. I love this district and I'm so happy to be a part of the Roseville Wrestling coaching staff.
