Welcome to our new Roseville Raiders Wrestling site. We're glad to have you visit.
I’m a wildlife biologist professionally and I loved playing team sports: soccer, volleyball, track and crew. We have a son who wrestled at Roseville Area High School and now wrestles at University of Wisconsin Steven’s Point, and another who is a junior wrestling at RAHS. The students who wrestle work very hard, develop tactical thinking, and learn how to win and lose gracefully. Even more importantly, these teammates (boys and girls) are super supportive and look out for and take care of each other. I worked with others to found the Club so these athlete's are supported with the gear and training they deserve, so coaches can focus on team development rather than fundraising, and to expand access to the benefits of this sport to more youth in our community.
I have been involved in Roseville sports since my boys first started. I coached youth baseball and football for over 10 years and have been on multiple youth sports organizations board of directors and am still currently the vice president of youth football. I really enjoy giving back to the sports that have provided me with so much in my life. I used to wrestle when I was younger and was very proud when my boys decided that they wanted to wrestle also. My oldest son is a sophomore in college and is an alumni of the high school wrestling team, and my younger son is a sophomore at RAHS and current member of the team. The thing that I probably love the most about this sport is the community of parents, athletes, and coaches. When I was a wrestler it was very close knit, but with this team it is above and beyond my experience as a wrestler. It's a very special group and one that I'm very proud to be a part of.
I have 10 plus years of financial experience in the banking and investments industry.
I am an early childhood educator. I serve on two booster boards and I am excited to be part of the Roseville Area Wrestling (RAW) Booster Club’s inaugural year. I have a son who is a senior and loves being part of the wrestling team. Go RAHS!
I am Mary Thome, she/her, a licensed K-6 elementary teacher and special education teacher, currently (and happily) teaching K-4 special rights students at St. Paul School of Northern Lights. I began teaching in 1998, when my son entered kindergarten. That is also around the time I began fundraising for education programs, and youth athletic booster clubs. I am particularly passionate about supporting youth wrestling because from my experiences, it is the best sport for kids to grow stronger at holding themselves accountable for the outcome of their own actions. I am a board member of the Roseville Area Wrestling Booster Club because it’s a way for me to show my gratitude by paying back what high school wrestling and great coaches did for my son. They helped guide him to become a responsible, hard working, contributing member of his community. I want to do what I can to increase that opportunity for more kids
I am a parent of 2 current Roseville High School students (one a wrestler), 2 elementary students and 3 future students of the Roseville district. I am a volunteer in the community and sit on the Community Advisory Committee, Dual Language Spanish Immersion Advisory Council and Roseville Cheer Booster Club board. I also serve Little Canada Elementary as a PTA member, yearbook chair, variety show coordinator and African American Parent Day organizer. I serve RAHS by co-coordinating Black Girl Magic week, assisting the cheer team with various projects, assisting the wrestling team with various projects, and I also handle all of the social media pages and site for the Roseville wrestling team. I love being creative and I am a photographer on the side. What I enjoy the most about our wrestling program is the sense of community that everyone has. It’s like its own family. Go Raiders!
I’ve been in education for the past 12 years with Saint Paul public schools in various roles including; classroom teacher, social studies/social justice specialist teacher, reading intervention teacher, and instructional coach. My current role is a school improvement specialist (using data to assist in improving school function). I am an alumni of the Jeremiah program. A national housing program for women and children in which moms/participants are enrolled in a post secondary program. I am a current board member, board DEI committee member and alum engagement lead for Jeremiah program. I am a parent of a senior wrestler, and that’s what I love most. I love supporting my son in his passion of wrestling.
